Filming at our hotels
Behind the scenes
It was "Lights! Camera! Action!" last week as our Days Inn Peterborough became home to the glitz and glamour of the film world. Join us as we reminisce on our brush with the bright lights whilst recording some footage for upcoming campaigns!
The day started like any other day. Staff were bustling around the hotel bright and early, making sure everything was just right.
Beds made? Check!
Curtains opened? Check!
Smiles on faces? When are they not?!
Next, in came the marvellous crew from DMB Films arrived. Before we knew it lights were in place and angles had been finalised! Last minute makeup touch ups and uniform straightening. And suddenly it was time to start filming π¬
The team were told toΒ break a leg, and off to work they went! Were there any cold feet? Diva demands? Luckily we have a team of pros, so we knew everything would go swimmingly! See the photos below for some of our favourite moments.
Speaking of luck, the weather was so glorious - you'd have thought we planned it! So naturally that's where we started, right outside our front door. See photos below of the crew going above and beyond to get Lee's best angles, and Elena strutting her stuff as she waltzes into our hotel with such confidence that you'd never believe she was new to acting!
Next it was on to the lobby where we needed to be reassured it was the right shot. Ask us? It looks like we are expecting a voiceover from Sir David Attenborough! I can hear it now:
Here we can see the traditional family unit outside of its element. Performing the ritual process known as checking in. A welcome break from the mundane day-to-day slog of life, the family are full of cheer with even the youngest, little Maisie, on her best behaviour.
And before the day was out, we had a surprise celebrity visit from the one and only Pudsey! As always a professional, and a favourite of our staff, it was the highlight of our day (well maybe apart from the pizza we had during the break).
A job well done by all, if we do say so ourselves! Next stop? Cannes or Hollywood to be sure π
